David P. Rouben, M.D.
Orthopaedic Spinal Surgeon Dr. David Rouben is a Louisville native who received his Doctorate of Medicine Degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in 1977. After completing a general surgical internship at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas, he continued his specialty training at the Georgia Baptist Medical Center in Atlanta, Georgia, an affiliate of the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Rouben then traveled to both Boston and Toronto to complete fellowships in joint reconstruction and spinal reconstruction respectively. Dr. Rouben spent an additional nine years teaching at the Georgia Baptist Medical Center before returning home to Louisville in 1992, where he has continued to practice orthopaedic adult spinal surgery.
Dr. Rouben has been innovative in the development of minimally invasive spine surgery. He has traveled across the globe to teach his techniques in minimally invasive spine surgery.
